Toyota BD+DS Intranet

Client Introduction

Toyota Australia's Business Development & Document Services (BD+DS) department is responsible for both the development of new ideas and seeking new business opportunities in the Australian and foreign industry. It's primary objective is to expand and diversify the company's products for domestic and export markets.

Project Overview

Toyota approached Switch I.T. to combine multiple sources of information and present this data to all employees across the Toyota BD+DS Intranet though a usable, effective interface.

The interface was developed to remain consistent with Toyota's internationally recognised branding into an intuitive, simple navigation structure that combined varied information structures from a number of resources.

The intranet contained detailed information on all BD+DS company procedures, departments, contacts, facilities and organisational structure, as well as business forms commonly used by staff.

The intranet sites implementation resulted in a reduction in printing costs across the department. The site also provides BD+DS employees with simple access to information relevant to their daily work requirements, improving the overall efficiency of staff.
