Client Introduction

Toshiba’s Information Systems Division (ISD) is a division of Toshiba (Australia) Pty Limited which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Toshiba Corporation, the seventh biggest electronics company in the world with annual revenues exceeding US$43.5 billion in 2001. With revenues of $437 million and a notebook market share of 26%, Toshiba ISD is comfortably the Australian market share leader.

Project Overview

To coincide with the launch of the Toshiba PocketIT sales promotion, Switch I.T. was approached to deliver a secure reseller extranet and reporting system for Toshiba Pocket PC resellers to track sales online.

Developed in conjunction with Tolemy Communications, the system allows resellers to easily sign up to the promotion online through an intuitive registration process. Once registered, a reseller can log into the extranet at any time and easily register the details of any sales made. The extranet provides resellers with access to a cumulative total of the number of Pocket PC's sold to date.

Switch I.T. also developed a secure reporting system for Toshiba management providing a real-time snapshot of the total number of units sold by resellers. Management can view detailed sales and contact details for each individual, as well as the total number of resellers managed by each Account Manager.
