Web Site and Content Management System

Client Introduction

The Comedy Channel web site was built using Microsoft .NET technologySandler, a wholly owned subsidiary of W.M.Ritchie, is the market leader of women’s moderately priced shoes in Australia.


Project Overview

Developed in collaboration with our partners Tolemy Communications, Switch I.T. was approached to develop a comprehensive Content Management System (CMS) for Sandler Shoes. On top of this, Switch I.T. also integrated all of the web site templates (supplied by Tolemy) with the CMS.

The completed system now allows Sandler staff to maintain the following areas of the web site in-house:

  • Products
    Staff can now maintain all product information on the web site in-house, including product descriptions, images, related products and even product categories.

  • Stockist database
    The CMS allows staff to add/modify and remove Sandler stockists around the country and even export stockist information directly to Excel for further manipulation.

  • Customer database
    The site allows interested users to subscribe to a ‘Stay In Touch’ email newsletter system allowing Sandler to keep customers informed about the latest products and fashion trends.

The CMS also contains a reporting system that generates graphical reports on the most popular shoes across the web site. This allows Sandler management to easily track the correlation between on and offline campaigns and product popularity.

Switch I.T. also developed a postcode search system allowing customers to find their nearest retailer quickly and easily.

The scalability of Switch I.T.'s Content Management Solutions provided a platform for a seamless, cost effective integration with the supplied HTML templates. This project highlights Switch I.T.'s ability to work effectively with our strategic partners in developing effective solutions for our clients.
