Client Introduction

The Happiness Institute was established in September 2003 by Dr. Timothy J. Sharp. Dr. Sharp is a well-known, highly regarded clinical and coaching psychologist. With the aim of teaching as many people as possible to be happier, The Happiness Institute offers a range of services in the form of public seminars, small group workshops, one-on-one coaching and organisational consulting.

Project Overview

Switch I.T. was contracted by The Happiness Institute to develop a web site and email campaign strategy to aid the launch and ongoing online promotion of the organisation.

After our initial consultation, a phased approach was recommended for the development of the web site. The first phase, now online, features basic information about The Happiness Institute as well as contact information and the ability to subscribe to a monthly email newsletter. In the future the web site will be expanded to feature an online store and order fulfillment system and custom Content Management System allowing staff to maintain the web site in house.

The site was also integrated into Switch I.T.'s email campaign management facility, allowing The Happiness Institute staff to compose attractive email campaigns in the browser, distribute their campaigns to a chosen demographic of subscribers and then track the effectiveness of each campaign in real time.
