Client Introduction

Easter in Sydney, an initiative of the NSW Government, is an exciting new major event for Sydney. The festival features the best sport, entertainment and culture to be found anywhere in the country between April 1st and 18th, 2004.
 Project Overview

Following the development of several highly received micro sites for Tourism New South Wales (TNSW), the state government body approached Switch I.T. in need of a comprehensive site to promote the brand new 18 day festival. The project also needed to be approved and online in less than 5 days, ready for the Premier of NSW, Mr Bob Carr, to launch the site at a major press conference.
Switch I.T. took the limited brief supplied by TNSW and developed an outline for the structure, functionality and design of the web site, including the following functionality:
- Calendar of Events
Switch I.T. proposed and developed an intuitive Calendar of Events system allowing potential visitors to easily browse all events for every day of the festival.

- Comprehensive Event Informaton
Each category of event has its own page on the site and features comprehensive event information. Each page is also heavily branded to the event to ensure consistency with offline marketing.

- Packages and Deals
The site also featured comprehensive information on all packages available during the festival from partners such as Harvey Word Travel and Qantas Holidays.

The final web site was delivered on time and budget to TNSW who were extremely pleased with the final product.
