Client Introduction

What makes a serial killer tick? How do forensic experts solve crimes using cutting-edge technology? These questions and more are answered on FOXTEL's new Crime & Investigation Network, the first and only channel in the international market dedicated to crime, investigation and mystery programming.

Project Overview

In close consultation with Crime & Investigation Network staff, the structure and functionality of the site was developed to provide comprehensive programming information as well as an array of value added features. Some of the more popular features of the site include:

• Shows Database
  Users can browse detailed information on every show aring on the channel, including a synopsis, episode guides and recommended shows.
  
  
• Interactive TV Guide
  Switch I.T. built a custom import system allowing Channel staff to simply browse to the location of a new programming file (generated by FOXTEL'S Columbine system) and with the click of a button the entire month's programming is imported into the web site's database.
  
  
• Screensaver and Wallpapers
  Switch I.T. also developed a great Crime Scene screensaver and 6 multi-resolution wallpapers consistent with the on-air look of the channel.
  
  
• Community
  This section of the site features comprehensive community and crime reporting related information for the Australian community.
  
  
• Email Newsletter
  An eNewsletter subscription component was integrated into the web site. When connected to Switch I.T.'s Synergy Mail email newsletter software, staff can easily compose and send great looking email newsletters to a growing database of subscribers.
