After their hugely successful Christmas 2002 eCard, David Jones approached Switch I.T. to develop the web-based component of their latest version for Christmas 2003.
Developed in conjunction with our partners at Tolemy Communications, the interactive CDROM allows children to get involved in a number of interactive features, such as colouring in, playing games and sending a letter to Santa.
Switch I.T. was responsible for the development of a system to process the expected tens of thousands of e-cards children will send over the coming months. Each child's message is stored in a database for later access via an emailed link to their friend.
When the friend receives the email, they are provided a link to visit the David Jones site and view their e-card. Switch I.T. also records other statistical information providing management with quantitative results on the effectiveness of the campaign.
