LifeStyle Intranet launches

Today saw the launch of the LifeStyle Financial Services Intranet. Developed in conjunction with Velvet onion, the Intranet aimed to provide a concise, up to date information service to improve worker productivity by giving users more efficient access to the information and services they need.
Switch I.T. developed the following components:
- Document Management System (DMS)
The DMS manages the creation, revision, publishing and purging of electronic information assets within the organisation.
- Client and Contacts Database
A searchable and browsable database of relevant contacts.
- Knowledge Base
A searchable and ever-expanding disussion forum and corporate knowledge repository.
- Company and Social Calendar
A centralised system for employees to track important corporate events as well as maintain a private, personal calendar.
The Intranet system was found to be so intuitive that only minimal staff training was required.
