You'll be working on the successful development of web and software solutions for Switch and its clients, whilst pitching in on other projects with our growing team of developers.
To apply for this position you will require a minimum of three years commercial experience with proven ability in server side programming. You will be responsible for deploying solutions predominately using the .NET framework including ASP.NET, C# and SQL Server. You may also be required to develop mobile applications for iOS and Android.
You'll play a crucial role in the on-going development of SwitchBack, our Content Management System. On top of this you will get to liaise with our other staff members and clients as you develop scalable solutions from architecture through to delivery.
What Are We Looking For?
The successful applicant will need to have a minimum of three years experience developing commercial solutions using the .NET framework - including ASP.NET, C# and SQL Server.
As the successful applicant, you will need to have :
- Excellent ASP.net (C#) Experience
- Excellent ASP.net (Web Forms) Experience
- Excellent SQL Experience (particularly Microsoft SQL Server) (design, development and optimisation)
- Experience developing and customising Content Management Systems
- Comfortable working around HTML/CSS templates
- Strong problem solving skills and initiative for continuous improvement
- Awesome communication skills (both written and verbal) and proven experience dealing with clients
- Experience in gathering a clients requirements and delivering your project from staging into a production environment
- University Degree or TAFE level equivalent is desirable, we'll also look favourably if you've managed other developers and have top notch time management skills
We would also look favourably upon the following :
- Experience with MVC
- Exposure to managing web sites and services on a commercial server will be favourable
- Exposure to DNS management
- Great JavaScript skills
- Excellent skills in architecture, scalability and the ability to anticipate hurdles or project roadblocks
- Ability to work as part of a team and / or autonomously
- Capacity to move between different platforms, programming languages and frameworks.
- Casual, pleasant personality and a great sense of humour
This role will at times be client facing, so excellent communication skills (written and verbal) are absolutely essential.
